Genesis 1:1-4 – at the point of creation, darkness was everywhere (suppression, oppression, affliction) God had made a prescription to handle that darkness and that prescription is light – John 1:5.

- Forces of darkness include suppression, affliction, oppression, untimely death etc.
- The dominion of light over darkness is unquestionable ~ John 1: 5 KJV.
- Light gives darkness knock-out any time; any day ~ Isaiah 60: 1 - 3 KJV.
- (Isaiah 60: 2) The grosser the darkness, the more light is amplified.
What is light? From Psalm 82: 5 NKJV, Light means knowledge. It means insight or revelation ~ 2 Corinthians 4: 6 NKJV; Proverbs 11: 9 TPT
What is light type of knowledge do we need to dominate over darkness?
- The knowledge of God – Hebrews 11: 6 NKJV; Zechariah 4: 7 NLT; Isaiah 40: 22 KJV; Revelation 18: 1; Revelation 10:. Those who know their God shall; do exploits – Daniel 11:32. - Psalm 2: 1 - 10 NIV; Romans 8: 19; Philippians 3: 10 KJV. The knowledge of God makes you a darkness dominator.
- The knowledge of yourself – One of the greatest assets anybody can have is the understanding of one’s true identity - Acts 19: 15 KJV. The greatest challenge of many Christians is the identity crisis ~ Psalm 82: 4 - 6 NKJV. In Psalm 82:6, God says your gods, confirmed by Jesus in John 10:34. The day you discover who you are; many things will begin to manifest in your life ~ James 1: 25 NLT; 1 Kings 13: 1 - 5 KJV. You must therefore ask God to reveal to yourself who you are. Read 1 Peter 2: 9; John 3: 6; Ephesians 1: 20 - 21 NKJV to know who you are.
- You must know the word – 2 Peter 1:3-6. These promises are keys for us to escape from the calamities, limitation suppression of this world. Acts 20:32.
- Know your resources – 2 Corinthians 10:4. The resources include the Holy Communion, ministry of angels in Jeremiah 2:11, 1 John 4:4. Find the resources in Isaiah 29:6 – ‘’The LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire’’
- You must know the enemy – this entails knowing his abilities, capabilities and strategies. You know what he can do and what he can’t do. Most of us out of ignorance underestimate the power of the enemy. Colossians 2:15 - The devil can manage what you carry because God has stripped off the devil. Ignorance of which the devil will always make the devil seems powerful. From Ezekiel 28: 19, it is important to know that the devil is a defeated fellow – Satan is terror to those who knows don’t know God
