- Death and destruction. People are harvested easily by death ~ Job 18: 18 GNT; Proverbs 26: 27 KJV; Psalm 143: 3 CEV; Isaiah 29: 5 NLT; Job 3: 5 NKJV.
- Afflictions, plagues and epidemics ~ Psalm 91: 5 - 7 KJV. These are all functions of darkness in people's lives ~ Psalm 89: 20 - 23 KJV.
- Spiritual blindness and visionl Many people are on planless existence ~ Deuteronomy 28: 29 GNT; 1 John 2: 11 GNT/ NIV.
What must we do to shine in the midst of darkness?
- New birth/ Holiness ~ Mark 4: 11; John 8: 12 KJV; 2 Timothy 2: 19 TPT/ GNT/ NKJV.
- Refuse to be swallowed by the climate of darkness.
- You must be spiritual ~ Revelation 1: 10; 1 Corinthians 3: 3 KJV
- Be determined to shine as light ~Isaiah 60: 2 NKJV
- The worst form of decadency is decadence at the place of prayer.
