What is Divine Help?
- Divine help simply means divine backing ~ Romans 8: 31; Genesis 39: 2 KJV; Genesis 39: 21 KJV. Opposition comes to announce your position; when there is no opposition, your position cannot be announced.
- Divine help is divine assistance over a matter that you could do nothing about. You do not need divine help if all your plans are achievable and accomplished by you - Psalm 27: 10; Psalm 124: 1-2, 8; Daniel 11: 32 KJV. God is the foundation of help; God is our only source and God uses men as our channel of help.
- Divine support over challenges that are bigger than you – 2 Chronicles 20:1-4.
- Divine support means supply of heavenly support to enable your humanly support – You must make efforts for God to provide support.
* God is the fountain of help, God is the source of everything, men are just mere channels and God can use anyone to deliver your help
What are the disqualifiers of divine help?
- Reliance on personal strength and abilities - Romans 9: 16 KJV/ NIV; Ecclesiastes 9: 11 NLT; 1 Samuel 2: 9 MSG; 2 Samuel 1: 25 – 27 NKJV.
- Boasting in personal riches. Riches are good but do not rely on them ~ Mark 4: 19 KJV; Psalm 62: 9 – 10 CEV; Proverbs 23: 4 – 5 GNT/ TPT. Rich people do not pray because they think the world is in their pockets. Proverbs 3: 7 MSG; Hebrews 4: 16 KJV; Matthew 11: 28 MSG; Psalm 122: 1 KJV.
- Dependency on intellectual capacity – Those who feel that they are very sufficient and do not need God in their lives. James 3:13-17 cautions that we must live well, wisely and humbly.
- Trust in the less of systems of men – Psalm 10:47. God doesn’t take pleasure in the trust in men. In Isaiah 31:31, God cautions against those who trust in Egypt, which represents human systems.
What are the keys for accessing divine help?
- Through the sanctuary. Outside, you find trouble, but inside sanctuary, you find help of God.in sanctuary, there is corporate prater, the devil can withstand your personal prayer, but it can’t with stand the corporate prayer in Zion. In corporate prayer, God sees our prayers, our spirits as one.
- In Acts 12:1-5, the church made ceaseless prayers for Peter and God deployed an angel and the prison gates were opened
- Don’t let the situations of life shift you away from Zion.
