
God has planted mankind on earth for impact generation. Even before, we were formed in mother’s womb; the job schedule was already handed over to us according Jeremiah 1:5.

Each one’s job schedule and purpose and assignment is different. In this world where we are supposed to make impact, we are surrounded by cruel enemies, but God insists that we are supposed to make impact. I john 5:17, Psalm 74:20, from these scriptures, God prepared our minds to know the kind of the earth we are supposed to rule.
The greatest gift for the church of Christ is the enemies – without the enemies, the church of Christ would not be standing - Psalm 110:1-3.
A case in point is Joseph, through his enemies; he was able to meet the places of location to interpret the dream. David in Jesse’s house was rejected; God is drawn to the rejected.
Without enemies, there would be battles, we fast because there is a battle to be won, and you can’t with without a fight - Gen 50:20
Scriptural Examples of the people who rules amidst their enemies
- David: In his father’s house, he was not given a place. According 2 Samuel 7:8. He was taken from wilderness to be a ruler and God’s hand was established in the mist of his enemies
- Isaac and Philistines: Genesis 26:12-25. Isaac became very prosperous and the Philistines envied him.
- Childless Hannah: 1 Samuel 1:6 – Peninah provoked Anna to embarrass and humiliate her. The best vengeance is to leave the battle to God according to Romans 12:19. The testimony of Hannah and the birth of Samuel and more five children silenced Peninah.
- Nehemiah - Nehemiah 4:1-6 Sanballat and Tobiah were pouring scorn to Nehemiah on the completion of the building the wall of Jerusalem. In Verse 4, Nehemiah didn’t take offence but handed over the battle to God. “Our God, listen to our prayer. These men hate us. Sanballat and Tobiah are insulting us. Make bad things happen to them. Make them ashamed, like people taken away as prisoners’ - Nehemiah 4:1
- Mordecai – Herman was an enemy of the Jews – he began to conspire on how to capitates Modeciah
- Daniel: Daniel 6:5
Secrets to rule in the midst of our enemies
- Refuse to be intimidated: The greatest weapon of the devil is threat and intimidation. King Pharaoh in Exodus 5:2, questioned Moses with intimidation – he even doubled the children of Israel punishment. In 1 Samuel 17:43-45, Philistines intimidated David, but David replied with bold statement, affirming his faith and trust in God.
- Confidence: Hebrews 10:35 – Don’t cast away your confidence which has great reward – Joshua 1:1-6. Joshua fought more battles than David and God knew that Joshua needed more confidence to take him through the battles. There is more to success to life than hard work. In addition to hard work, add spiritual forces. Romans 4:17. God’s major attribute is to call things that don’t exist to existence and he has also given us that confidence.
- Refuse to be afraid – Romans 4:12| Psalm 27:1-4. Don’t give the enemy the privilege of being fearful.
- Don’t handle the enemy with gentility – John Gen 27:40 Ephesians 6:12
