We ended the first half of 2024 in a style. In Psalm 133:1 the Bible accounts that"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
On 30th June, we filled up the heavens with the fragrance of praise and worship in our local languages, right from Igbo Southeastern Nigeria, to Runyankole in South Western of Uganda, right to Acholi and Langi at the Central North of Uganda, to the Eastern Uganda, the land of Bamasaba and Iteso, not forgetting the Banyarwanda, and the Kikuyu's of Kenya and the Zulu's of South Africa!
The cultural Sunday Praise and worship sunday, God brought together people from every tribe and language into a single, united nation. Therefore God's ultimate vision is a multicultural and multinational kingdom, where we all come together under one church. God’s idea for the church is to gather all people.
So, what’s God up to on a day like Cultural Day?
Creating a bond of unity: Just like in Psalm 133:1, 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NLT), Galatians 3:28 (TPT), and 2 Corinthians 13:11 (TPT), this day is about fostering unity. It takes love to make it happen, but it was worth it.
Praising God in diverse languages and cultures: When we praise God in our different languages and cultural expressions, we drown out the tribal demons (Psalm 22:3).
Stepping out of comfort zones: This day pushes us out of our comfort zones to praise and worship God in new ways.
Building relationships: Cultural Day ignites relationships, breaks down walls of separation, and helps us get to know each other better.
Releasing harvest and blessings: As we come together, we see the release of harvest and blessings (Psalm 67: 5-7 TPT).
Discovering gifts and potentials: There are so many gifted people among us, and Culture Day helps bring those gifts to light.
It was a day filled with unity, praise, and new connections. We saw God’s vision for a united, multicultural church come to life in the most beautiful way. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this day special!
