Praise and thanksgiving are vital ingredients for victorious qualitative and meaningful Christian living.

  • Psalm 100: 1 – 4 KJV
  • Psalm 67: 3 – 7; Psalm 34: 1 – 3 KJV

What is the power of Praise and thanksgiving?

  • Praise causes the earth to yield or surrender her increase to you ~ Psalm 67: 6 KJV.
  • Praise causes the multiplication of the resources in your hands. What you have currently in your hands can be multiplied ~ Isaiah 60: 22 KJV
  • Praise secures the blessing God has already given to you ~ Malachi 2: 2 KJV.
  • Praise secures the favour of God around his people. It attracts ~ Acts 2: 47 KJV.  Praise is an attractor, magnet and pen door in one’s life. The easiest way to enjoy disfavor in life is to be murmuring and ungrateful in our lives.  If you lack favour try praise.
  • Praise provokes the judgment of God on our enemies ~ Psalm 67: 4 KJV. Those who desire vindication do it on the altar of praise Psalm 149: 6 - 9 KJV.
  • Praise brings about fearful blessings ~ Psalm 67: 7 KJV. God will do something that will make your friends to wonder, ponder and fear the God you serve.

What are the things that facilitate Praise?

  1. The oil of gladness ~ Psalm 45: 7; 1 Samuel 15: 14 KJV. The oil of gladness is a transmitter of joy. Read Galatians 5: 22 KJV; Ephesians 5: 18 - 20 NLT.
  2. The heart of thanksgiving: Psalm 100: 4 KJV. Until you are thankful you can never be praiseful and until you are praiseful you can never be grateful.

What can make you grateful?

  1. The gift of life - Acts 17: 28; Ecclesiastes 9: 4 KJV
  2. The gift of health - Psalm 103: 1 - 3 KJV
  3. The privilege of relationship with God - Psalm 103: 2a; 1 John 3: 1; John 5: 8 KJV.
  4. The preservation of life and destiny ~ Lamentation3: 22 - 23 KJV
  5. Victory over the enemy's agenda ~ 1 John 4: 4 KJV. There are many things the enemy anticipated to crush your life but God overturned it all - Lamentations 3: 37; Isaiah 44: 25
  6. A lifestyle of up-righteousness - Psalm 29: 2 KJV. Praise is also affected by sin the same way faith is affected by sin ~ Acts 19: 15; Daniel 6: 20 - 21 KJV. Iniquity does not only mute our voices BUT it affects our lives eternally. ~ Habakkuk 1: 13 KJV. Iniquity does not only defy your conscience it also denies you access to God.
  7. The heart of service ~ Psalm 100: 2; Mark 15: 43 KJV.
