Many of us have experienced the power of all-night prayers – it is an act of dedicating an entire night to praying and communing with God. But what exactly do we benefit from all-night prayer? In this issue, we demystify the power that comes with all night – 7 hours of prayers – referred to as ‘Night of Wonders’ at The Living Word Assembly Church.
The last Friday of the month is our ‘Night of Wonders’ where the brethren spend considerable time worshipping, praising and communing with Jehovah. It is a powerful night of spiritual growth and renewal as it allows the brethren to focus on God without the distraction of the day.
This last Friday of February 2024 – in the transition of 23-24th February was a transformative one with Pastor Charity Nebechukwu. She vehemently preached on the power of God to protect, abort untimely death and restore the lost glory.
Reading from different scriptural examples including John 10:10, Psalm 91:16, Job 5:26, Luke 7:11-18, Pastor Charity began with fervent prayers, invoking divine intervention to deliver the congregation from the invisible snares set by the enemies. The powerful declarations from Proverbs 14:19 and Psalm 35 set the tone for a night of supernatural encounters.
She went ahead to teach that scriptures such as Revelation 13:10 and Psalm 7:15-16 emphasize the reversal of wickedness, ensuring that every plot against our lives is turned back upon the perpetrators.
‘’As we lay hands on our heads, we declare the greatness that resides within us and vow to resist any force seeking to diminish our potential,’’ she declared authoritatively.
Some of the factors she highlighted that facilitate untimely death in lives of believers include:
- Foundation - Psalm 11:3
- Witchcraft - Ephesians 6:12
- Sickness and infirmities - Isaiah 53:4
- Carelessness – She emphasized the importance of a mindful lifestyle and commitment to sensitivity.
- Negative confession - Proverbs 6:6, 2 Samuel 1:16
How to Abort Untimely Death
Quoting from Job 14:7 - For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease,' this is a confirmation that irrespective of how the enemy fights, we have victory through Christ Jesus who strengthens. Pastor Charity highlighted the ways that will help them to reconnect right with God. They include;
- Right Standing with God - Job 22:21 through seeking reconciliation with God and recognizing the importance of a righteous life.
- Faith - Ephesians 6:16 – adding that prayers should focus on building a shield of faith through belief in the word of God.
- Positive Confession - Romans 10:10. The congregation should renounce every negative pronouncement upon their lives
- Persistent Prayer - Matthew 46:40-41. She emphasized that unceasing prayer transformative power to stop untimely death
Later, Pastor Jolly took the stage, the fervor continued with declarations against marked death days and silencing witchcraft voices and so did Pastor Sam Isaac. He led the charge against satanic embargos, commanding their dissolution. The characteristics of hindrance and Python-like obstructions were dismantled properly by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Night of Wonders – All-night prayers are always charged with the energy of spiritual victories and declarations. This leaves everyone with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with the tools to overcome untimely death and reclaim lost glory in the power of Jesus.
