Who we are
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;”
Isaiah 61:1
It all started with divine instruction saying “Go to Uganda and serve Me and I will make you a deliverer unto my people”. In obedience to the voice of God, the Ministry started in Uganda in 2005. We exist to bring people to God, liberate them from oppression and every form of frustrations of the devil and bring healing across nations. At the Living Word Assembly, we base all of our beliefs on the authority of Scripture. In every way, we strive to maintain Biblical standards of living and divine leadership. We believe that destiny fulfilment is a function of living life according to God’s Word.
Our Vision
A Vibrant Christ Headed Home Fellowship based Church with a focus on the Great Commission.
Our Mission
To bring Salvation, Deliverance and Healing to the people and places by the Help of the Holy Spirit.
Our Values
Holiness
(Hebrews 12:14 & 1 Peter 1:15-16)
Having accepted salvation through Christ, we are ‘set-apart’ and we must strive to be Christ-like through the study of God’s Word and through the Christ-driven choices we make in our behavior.
(Maximum Participation of all members in the church
(1 Cor. 12:18 & Eph. 4:1)
We are all ordained with special gifts which we must use for furthering God’s kingdom – unite the Church, draw men to God and engage in other kingdom work.
Love
(1 John 4:8 & John 13:34-35)
God is love. Because we are loved by Him, we are called to love like Him. Forgive one another, accept one another and honor one another. The extent to which we love one another validates and communicates our faith.
The Great Commission
(Matthew 28:17-20)
We have been commanded to take the gospel to all nations, making disciples, not merely converts or supporters of a cause and baptizing them.
Prayer
(Luke 18:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 & Isaiah 56:7)
We are commanded to pray and not to faint and to pray without ceasing. It is God’s plan and order that we should pray to receive all His promises in His treasure for us. Jesus prayed at every junction of His life on earth, and so must we.
Worship
(John 4:23-24)
The basis for true worship is not found in places and accessories, but in spirit and in truth. We worship God for who He is.
The Word of God
(Hebrews 4:12 & Isaiah 55:11)
God’s Word can hit us with surprising precision, and the Holy Spirit empowers the ministry of the Word to do deep work in our hearts – it is living and active. When applied by faith, it will do what it says it will do, it will not return void.
Accountability and Covering
(Ephesians 5:21 & Romans 13:1-2)
When we are filled with the Spirit, it will show by our mutual submission to each other and to authorities. Moreover, the submission will be done in the fear of God, not the fear of man. We must never be self-seeking and individualistic.
Generosity
(1 Timothy 6:17-18)
We are called to give. Being a giver, an addicted giver moreover, and doing good with our resources is what guards our heart from materialism and trusting in uncertain riches.
